The world’s best advertisement.

Just imagine, what we could be missing out on by locking up refugees indefinitely on Nauru and Manus island.

Brilliant. On the escalators in the London tube there are advertisements with the title, This is What and Immigrant Looks Like. Each has a photo and a brief story – a cello teacher, a paramedic, a journalist etc.

A great piece indeed. There is Australia, the most underpopulated continent in the world, locking up indefinitely refugees on isolated small islands in order not to reward people smugglers…but…what have the refugees done to get locked up? The lack of logic is astounding if not the lack of morals and ethics.
Anyway, the noise of the protestors is getting louder. We can all make more noise and should swap the refugees for some of our politicians.

We’re still waiting for you to release the New Zealand detainees on Christmas Island.

I am totally mystified on why the NZ landers are on Christmas Island. They served their sentences but under the present law are then to be deported back to NZ. The NZlanders then appealed and are waiting for the outcome of the appeal. But…why do they have to be flown to Christmas Island which is on the opposite side of New Zealand?
Some of the more dangerous and violent men are now flown back again to Australia. Is there a problem with the geography or what? They have served their sentences but anyone with dual nationality can now be deported for having committed a crime with a sentence of more than one year.
