By popular request (Strong woman)

Here it is again for those that found the previous clip had been discontinued. We all know that the stronger sex are female. Just watch this video, absolutely brilliant in showing up what is wrong with man. (some man) The lack of respect, let alone of understanding, by this misogynous sheik is breathtaking.

    Actually quite breathtaking! 🙂
Did you watch Compass recently? This was the last one:

This is how Geraldine Doogue introduced her guests:

“With me are David Marr, journalist, broadcaster and commentator, Sheikh Wesam Charkawi, a Muslim chaplain and Imam in Sydney’s Auburn community, the Venerable Thubten Chokyi, a Buddhist nun and international director of the Liberation Prison Project and Rabbi Zalman Kastel who is national director of the Together for Humanity Foundation.

All guest as well as Geraldine were of different beliefs. But you should have seen, how respectful they talked to each other!

HUGE respect. I LOVE this woman. Having spent an inordinate time travelling between East and West I had the great misfortune to spend ‘stopping’ time in Dubai. What a disaster. I think I would rather die than be a woman in that part of the world – it beggars belief. Even here in Spain I find the ‘macho’ really hard to deal with, I get quite angry that Pete is always the one that everyone relates to on a business level but if I was living in the Middle-East, God help me. I think that I would already be stoned! When will this madness end?

Yes Lottie, but it is also surprising that women do tend to be also outspoken in many Middle East countries. I saw a protesting mob on TV that was happening in Yemen with lots of women in the melee. Here in Australia the violence against women is of epidemic proportions. In Queensland they are now building shelters for women to escape to. Men seem an angry lot all over the world. I would never marry one. 😉

Hi Lottie, last time we went to Germany, we wanted to stop over at Dubai. Luckily, just in time, I read that they take exceptions to couples holding hands. We could have been whipped. My wife and I, we often holding ends when walking along, quiet instinctively. We went another route.

        Yes Berlioz,
The last thing you would want on an overseas holiday is to get whipped. One can just imagine exchanging holiday experiences and showing photos of places were one was beaten or whipped.
Only last night I was at a birthday event were people exchanged their experiences of public toilets in different countries. It was a hoot!

Typical behavior. We have many men of that persuasion here. Some time ago, a “gentleman” shook his finger at our female city manager and told her she was “just a little woman”. Hooray for the TV host.

It is frightening to see how inequality still exists.

I have never understood how we gain from limiting anyone’s potential regardless of sex, race, creed, age or any other criteria one wants to apply. Good for her. –Curt
