Helvi and I are taking a week or so away from domesticity including blogging. We are visiting family in Brisbane and on the way will visit Byron Bay again. See you dear friends, keep well.
Our favourites. The Finnish group Leningrad Cowboys with Red Army choir.

Yes, a bit too much of blinking eyes and swaying seductively. It’s funny how (old) age is more clearsighted.
The russian Kalinka is funny, somehow more real.
Hi Gerard and Helvi:
Have a great time with family and friends. Thanks for the videos. I am looking forward to listen to the music.
Maybe we can meet for coffee when you get back. 🙂

Hmm. I’m going to take up the violin, that’ll surely make me very sexy!
Have a good break, stay cool.

Loved the Red Army one. I bought an LP years ago of Russian cavalry songs, not sure who the choir/orchestra are. Must look.
That soloist has a terrific voice. Couldn’t believe how long he held that one note without even fading at all.
Have a lovely week. Buen viaje.
